Founded in 2019 by architects João Passanha and Hugo Félix - trained respectively in Brussels and Lisbon - EstadoBruto is a Lisbon-based studio where architecture, art, and design converge through a multidisciplinary lens. With a deep appreciation for history and modernity, context and tradition, the studio embraces the raw potential of materials and techniques. Their creative practice spans architecture, interiors, and collectible design, resulting in a refined yet expressive body of work.
From historic building renovations to contemporary residential projects, EstadoBruto approaches each commission with sensitivity and rigor. Alongside architectural work, the studio curates and produces its own design pieces - objects that reflect the same thoughtful interplay of form, function, and narrative that defines their spatial work.
