Through various artistic practices, predominantly ceramics and illustration, Henriette Arcelin creates a language of her own, shaping a tapestry of work that pays homage to the history of arts and crafts in a contemporary manner.

Henriette Arcelin (b.1990) is a French artist, currently living between Lisbon, Portugal and her native Paris. A mosaic of influences comes together organically in her work, led by her imagination, as she strives to convey her feelings through her artistry, offering a glimpse into her internal world. She takes great pleasure from observing her environment with an ongoing fascination for its most graceful and intricate aspects. Henriette also places the research of artisanal techniques and their mastering at the center of her work and draws inspiration and knowledge from collaborating with fellow craftsmen. Over the last five years, numerous showcases have allowed her to bolster a specific visual language through unique objects, as she transposes the imagery of folklore into delicate and expressive material works, giving these narratives body and soul.
