Since 2017, João Guimarães has been working as an architectural photographer, collaborating with some of the most renowned architects and interior designers in Portugal. Today, he says he has managed to stop “working” : he simply does what he loves most. He is passionate about architecture and its many forms of representation and interpretation. His photographs of architectural projects have been published across a wide range of digital platforms and printed publications, both nationally and internationally, helping to promote the very best of architecture and design produced in Portugal.
João Guimarães is a surfer by passion, an architect by profession, and a photography enthusiast. He worked for more than 16 years as an architect, until one day he allowed his photography hobby to speak louder and become his profession.
