Founded in 2018 by Heleen Fivez and Pieter Bogaerts, Omarcity is both a creative studio and a platform dedicated to co-creation, collaboration, and curation. At its core, the studio embraces a ‘CO’ philosophy - believing in the power of working together across design, production, communication, and presentation.
Every winter, Omarcity relocates to Portugal, where fresh ideas and new collaborations take shape. Their latest project, debuting at Lisbon by Design, is a chair and side table in one, created in partnership with the Portuguese weaving company Fabricaal.
Beyond its studio practice, Omarcity also functions as a platform representing small, sustainable brands and artists from "less-known creative places" around the world. Through its Antwerp-based gallery and showroom, it showcases high-quality, culturally rich works that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. This ever-evolving space serves as a playground for creativity - hosting exhibitions, residencies, and collaborative events that inspire dialogue and discovery.
